Delivery in crates
You receive the wood packed in crates that correspond to 2 cubic meters. With these units, we supply you with neatly stacked pieces of wood that are stored in a clearly arranged manner.
Advantages for you as a customer:
The condition and quantity of the goods can be recognized at first glance.
The crates can be used directly for storage - no tedious unloading and re-stacking. We deliver directly to the storage location.
Why kiln-dried wood?
The weather is unpredictable - nobody knows at the beginning of winter how cold it will be and how much firewood is really needed. That's why only kiln-dried wood can provide the right balance. On the one hand, this gives you sufficiently dried wood to avoid burning any residual moisture and, on the other hand, wood that is not overstored.
The advantages at a glance:
You don't buy too much wood
More efficient storage
You buy it when you need it
Full cost control
The wood is not overlaid
The residual moisture is guaranteed to be below 20%
Optimal energy utilization
Delivery directly to the storage location
Drying
Before the wood reaches you, it is technically dried - until the residual moisture content is only around 15-20%.

Tips on firewood
The most important thing when storing firewood is to protect it from moisture. Firewood should therefore not be stored directly on the ground. Pallets or a frame made of bricks and boards are a good base - or, of course, the shed provided. To protect against moisture, the firewood should be stored on the side of the house facing away from the wind and rain. A protective roof over the wood is even better.
To summarize, the best place for storage is
-
sunny and dry
-
well ventilated
-
and protected from the weather.
The moisture content of the wood should be between 15-20%. On average, it takes two to three years for the firewood to reach this residual moisture content. However, the storage period should not exceed 5 years, as overstoring has a negative effect on the maximum amount of usable heat.
